ARTIST STATEMENT

I am absolutely uncomfortable when I perform. I think this is why I do it. It’s not like I am in my comfort zone. To the contrary, my heart is pounding, my mind gets small and every moment counts. My body takes over as a conduit for some type of momentum that was set up by me or maybe the universe; I’m not always sure which. Left standing there is an extremely vulnerable being that we are all observing including me. Some psychologists call it a peak experience and this is perhaps the why behind my work.
